A BRIEF HISTORY:

Leechburg Lodge 102, Loyal Order of Moose was instituted in April of 1909 and received its official charter the following September. Located in downtown Leechburg, our lodge went relatively unnoticed by the by the Leechburg community for 94 years. In September 2003, the members of our lodge decided it was time for a change and began taking the necessary steps to revitalize the image of the Leechburg Moose. Two primary goals were established and continue to this day: to increase our strength through membership growth and to establish a fraternal presence in our lodge as well as the community. With the efforts of our members and their family, we continue to increase our membership and conduct a variety of activities throughout the year. We have also become more active in our community as well as surrounding communities by helping those in need and participating in community events. In April 2005, a chapter of the Women of the Moose was instituted in our lodge which now gives women the opportunity to join the Moose fraternity through the Leechburg Moose. Now with fraternal factions working together we can provide even more to our members and co-workers, their family, and the Leechburg community as well as its surrounding communities.
